S. F. Swem

I am the Sweminator.

I was Born in South Dakota in the year 1957.

I am 6"1" tall

I have grey hair and hazel eyes.

I have a saying these days. "I have to live in reality and when reality is done with me for the day, it's time to get away." Growing up it was the woods and his imagination. Then new technology entered his life, color TV. WOW. It did not get better than that. Saturday morning cartoons. 5 in the morning till 1 in the afternoon. Heaven. Then someone gave me a blue covered book. Tom Swift. That was it, he was done, he was hooked and became an addict. If it was print I had to have it. Books, comics and new technologies. As Bristol County Jr was fond of saying. "It was the coming thing." He still has his first bought copy of Ann McCaffrey, The Ship Who Sang, Robert Heinlien, Have Spacesuit Will Travel and Tom Swift sitting on the bookshelf. Authors that helped in that getaway, Anne McCaffrey, Robert Heinlien, Poul Anderson, Terry Brooks, and Edgar Rice Burroughs, who gave them the name of our daughter.
"Just because it hasn't happened, dosen't mean it wont happen."

I am the shadow that lurks in the
background watching.
I was Born in South Dakota in the
year 1959.

I am 5'4" tall which use to be
considered avererage but in my family it is short.
I have greying brown hair and green eyes.

I am an Air Force brat, born and raised. I grew up a little bit of everywhere. I tended to vacillated between being a tomboy up a tree to being what my grandmother called a proper lady.

Shakespeare was the favorite reading for a time as well as Victoria holt and Thomas Costain. Baking and helping with day care children as well as television took much of the out of school time. The joy of reading came after meeting Steven and learning about science fiction and Fantasy books. He introduced the "The Ship Who Sang" as well as others of Ann McCaffery.

Together we read contentedly just knowing we were both there. Sharing a funny quip here or there in our respective choice of reading material.

We became a team in 1979 and sealed the union and became Mr. & Mrs. the beginning of 1980
